Hogg calls time on his career |
Brad Hogg has joined the retirement epidemic sweeping Australia's mid-30s players and will step down less than a year after many rated him the world's most effective limited-overs spinner.Hogg has decided to exit at the age of 37. There are just a few personal issues that are probably the main reason for this decision he said.Hogg said his career highlights included being part of Australia's record-equalling 16 consecutive Test wins, playing in two World Cups where the team was undefeated, and "playing alongside legends" such as Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting. He will have a maximum of three matches to add to his 121 games and 154 victims that make him the sixth most successful Australian bowler. He finished with 17 wickets in a career of seven Tests. Finally the left arm chinaman bids adieu to international cricket after the CB Series finals.

Harbhajan an 'obnoxious weed' - Hayden |
Harbhajan Singh has not endeared himself to many Australians in recent months. The pair clashed during Sunday's CB Series game at the SCG when the Indians complained that Hayden had called Harbhajan a mad boy.Speaking on a Brisbane radio station, Hayden said it's been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan, the first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now. His record speaks for itself in cricket. This comment means that it will only serve to deepen the animosity between the two sides that has surfaced during India's tour. Then yesterday he was reprimanded for breaching the Rule-9 of Code of Conduct by the Cricket Australia. The Board then announced some disiplinary action will be taken against Hayden for offencing Harbhajan with illegal words.I think everyone's over it a little bit now, just trying to get on with the finals and play some cricket.

INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE-2008 |
On-field action aside, we could have just witnessed the most eventful day in cricket's history, one when players were bought like stocks at a share market. In the frenetic Indian Premier League auctions, the day kicked off with the blockbuster news of Dhoni being bought for US$1.5 million by Chennai. That set the ball rolling, and no other player was able to catch up with it by the end of the day. Dhoni was part of the first group of players to be auctioned and grossed more than double what Adam Gilchrist did ($700,000 from Hyderabad).
Top ten players at the auction were....
Mahendra Singh,Sanath Jayasuriya,Ishant Sharma,Irfan Pathan,Jacques Kallis,Brett Lee,RPSingh,Harbhajan Singh....
The icon players were....
Sachin Tendulkar,SouravGanguly,Rahul Dravid,Yuvaraj singh and Virendher Sehwag....
At the end of the Dhoni being bought for US$1.5 million by Chennai was the highest paid cricketer inIPL...Andrew Symonds was bought by Hyderabad for US$ 1.35 million next to Dhoni....However other players was bought by Mohali,Mumbai,Kolkata and Bangalore....They had the winning bid of less than 1million US dollars....Indian premier League finally with this auction will change cricket as it played forever.......

DEJA VU IN NAPIER |
The thrilling tie played out by England and New Zealand in Napier is one of those days when a captain really earns his match fee. With New Zealand needing seven from the last over and all his main bowlers used up, Paul Collingwood turned to the part-time medium pace of Luke Wright who produced a nerveless final over... New Zealand after winning the toss sent England into and the England pile up the runs as the pitch favours batting a lot more.... PaulCollingwood six 6's in his knock of 54....Other players contributed to the score were Mustard who socred 83,Cook scored 68,bell socred 43 and pietersen scored 50...Finally England set a target of 341 from 50 overs for the kiwis...... Then Nz batting came as the chase was a fighting one... Ryder and Mccullum shared a partnership of 70 runs from 10 overs....Then Jamie How who played a brilliant knock shared 90 plus partnerships with Mccullum and Taylor..... How socred a fighting hundred of 139 in which he hit ten 4's and three 6's.... But however his knock goes in vain...Vettori who wasted some balls in the slog overs and that was the reason that the match has ended in a tie.... However it was a day of fantastic cricket played by both the teams in the odi's...Hope we will wait for the result of the last match to be played at Christchurch on Saturday... NewZealand leads the series 2-1.............

HOW TO IMPROVE READING SKILLS |
Many college students discover that there is significantly more to read in college than there was in high school. Students frequently remark that they don't have enough time to read through all of their assignments during the week. For better communication or to speak fluently in English read daily English News Papers so that you can improve your knowledge by seeing the meanings of the difficult words in dictionary which is not known to you and also gather information about what is happening around us in our day to day life from all over the world...Then if time permits read english novels which will help you gain better knowledge and you can speak effectively.....Then you can write your own posts or comments in the editor column of the newspaper which will help you to avoid and to know what are the grammatical mistakes so that reading and writing skills in englsih can be improved which will help you in a man's life to reach higher levels.....

Leading Rivals |
In all the aspects of life there are leading rivals..... I have to mention a few regarding these rivals..... In the field of sports like cricket, Australian fast bowler Glenn Mcgrath as well as Brett Lee will be the leading rival to Sachin Tendulkar who is the legend of Indian Cricket.... In tennis Novak Djokovic will be a leading rival to Roger Federer as he won the recent
Australian Open in 2008... In the field of cinema eventhough there has not been any rivalry between KamalHasan and Super Star Rajinikanth there has been decades of rivalry between rajini fans and kamal fans...In the history of battles Gauravas who had been a great rivals to Pandavas .even though gauravas were hundred in number pandavas with a meagre strength were able to get the support of almighty.....Finally in the latest era of high grade technology to mention a few
Mukesh Vs Anil
TCS Vs CTS
Yahoo Vs Google
Nokia Vs Sony Ericcson
Though there has been a rivalry between these great enterprueners it has finally lead to the development of the whole world as a one union .These developments which might do a great things to the people , will they lead to anything which will affect the whole mass? will this lead to development or deplement think .....think ..........
