NewZealand clinch series via D/L method

After the wash out of the 4Th odi,the final match of the series between New Zealand and West Indies played at Napier in which New Zealand won the match by 9runs via D/L method. After winning the toss,New Zealand choose to field first. After the loss of early wickets, Gayle and Chanderpaul laid the foundation for the West Indian innings and their 170 run partnership propelled West Indies to reach a score of 293 runs from 50 overs. Gayle with some lusty hitting scored 135 runs and Chanderpaul scored 94 runs.Gillespie took 4 wickets. Then in the chase due to incessant rains, the target was reduced to 203 runs from 35 overs. All the top order for the New Zealand team batted superbly and they finally scored 211 runs from 35 overs and they won the match by 9 runs via D/L method. By this victory they also clinched this series 2-1. Gayle won the man of the match award for his inspiring batting performance.
