INDIANS FALTER ONCE AGAIN AT SYDNEY

At the 10th match at the sydney ground,Australia have beaten India once again by 18 runs and this has made India a must win situation against Srilanka in the next game to be played at Hobart on Tuesday in order to make it to CB series finals... In today's game Australia won the toss and choose to bat first....Openers Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden burst out of the blocks with some damaging strokeplay, before Gilchrist was caught brilliantly by Indian skipper MS Dhoni for 16 from just seven deliveries....Ponting and Hayden shared some good partnerships before Hayden was out for 54.... Then came Clarke who some fiery stroke plays was out for 33...Andrew Symonds scored 59 off 49 balls to end his lean form and mean while Ricky Ponting was back in form in this series with his 26th ton in the odi's as Australia pile up the runs and set India a target of 318 to chase in 50overs....Then while chasing Indian top order batting fell like a cropper.... Gautam Gambhir and Dhoni steadied the Indian innings with some good partnerships.... Robin Uthappa and Gambhir then kept the score ticking over by putting on 67, but India's hopes suffered a fatal blow when the centurion's brave knock came to an end when he was stumped by Adam Gilchrist, who completed six dismissals, off the bowling of Brad Hogg for 113....Uthappa was finally out for 51.... Fast bowler Brett Lee took five wickets, including three in seven balls late in the innings....A sparkling century from Gautam Gambhir could not save India from an 18-run defeat at the hands of Australia in today's match....Ponting was declared the man of the match for his winning ton....Hope the Indians will be back to winning ways against Srilanka in the next game and will secure a place in the finals....
