Broad Inspires England to lead a crushing victory against South Africa

The second ODI played between England and South Africa at Trent bridge,which was again a day-night encounter, with England dominated the proceedings in all parts of the field. After winning the toss,South Africa choose to bat first. On a placid and bouncy track, the South African batting line up came like a cropper as they did not able to withstand the determined England pace attack. Broad was the England's hero in this match with good bowling performance as he took wickets at regular intervals with good pace attack. Finally South Africa were bundled out for a mere 83 runs from 23 overs,their second lowest total in one day international cricket. For England Broad took 5 wickets,Flintoff took 3 wickets and Harmison took 2 wickets. Andre Nel of South Africa was the top scorer with 13 runs. Matt Prior,the wicket keeper of England took six catches in the South African innings with some good performance from behind the wickets. Then, while chasing the England opening pair of Bell and Prior batted sensibly as they ramped home by 10 wickets in14.1 overs. Bell-28* and Prior-45* finished the proceedings for England in a grand style without losing a wicket. Broad won the man of the match award for his superb bowling performance in this match. The England team really deserved this victory and they take a unassailable 2-0 lead of the five match series.
