India clinches Idea Cup

In the 4th ODI between India and Sri Lanka held at Premadsa Stadium in Colombo, India won the match by 46 runs. After winning the toss, Indians choose to bat first. After the loss of early wickets, the Indians with the help of Kohli, Raina and Dhoni steadied the innings and they put a decent total on the board. India was finally all out for 258 runs from 49.4 overs. Kohli-54, Raina-76 and Dhoni-71 were the top scorers for the Indians. For Srilanka, Thushara took 5 wickets. The only credit for the Lankans was Chaminda Vaas who took the wicket of Yuvaraj, became the fourth player to take 400 wickets in ODI's. Then in the chase, Srilankan wickets fell at regular intervals. Bhajji and Munaf bowled superbly and the Lankan batsman’s did not last longer at the crease. Srilanka were finally all out for 212 runs and India won the match by 46 runs. Jayasuriya scored 60 and Thushara scored 40 runs and they were the top scorers for the Lankan team. For India, Bhajji took 3 wickets and Munaf took 2 wickets. This was India's first bilateral ODI series triumph on the island and they really deserved this victory. India now leads the series 3-1. Suresh Raina won the man of the match award for his all round performance in this match.
